FOXBURG INFORMATION

Foxburg is a small hamlet located in Clarion County on the east bank of the Allegheny River. Foxburg is 5 miles south of exit 42 or exit 45 of Interstate 80, 3 miles downriver from Emlenton. Foxburg was founded by the Fox Family of Philadelphia, descendents of George Fox, the founder of the Quakers. Foxburg historically was part of the oil and timber industry. It also, until 1960, was a railroad hub for the Pennsylvania and Baltimore & Ohio railroads. The railroad is now part of the Alleghney Valley Rails to Trails Bike Path. Foxburg is the home of the Foxburg Wine Cellars, the Foxburg Inn, and the Alleghney Grille. The town also has a pizza shop (Foxburg Pizza), a choclate boutique (Divani Choclate), several small gift shops, Segway tours, and the Foxburg Free Library which is also the home of ARCA's Lincoln Hall.
